This piece of art work is really intriguing and I feel like it has a good meaning behind it. This piece of artwork is in black and white. Its shows a girls face who appears to be pulling part of  her face to the left, as if it were a curtain, to reveal a woman in a dress that is holding onto jail bars like she is trapped. The background almost looks like her head is in the clouds.

The color is this piece of artwork seems to be very dark and depressing. The artist used lots of value in this. I  believe that this piece of artwork was done with either charcoal or a pencil, but I am not sure because I could not find the artist or the  title of this  piece. The girl inside of her head has a beautiful dress on, it is very detailed with all the ruffles and curves in  the dress. This shows that the artist took time with all the  details.

This painting has a very significant meaning to it. I feel that it is of a girl who feels like she is a prisoner inside of  her own body. Our society today causes many people feel as if they have to be perfect and they cant show their true selves because  it isn't up to the worlds "standards". I feel like it is also trying to express the fact that she is just floating and she isn't being herself because it appears that her head is in the clouds. It appears that she is pulling aside a show curtain almost to show the fact that she  is putting on a performance so people don't see her true self.

Overall I  absolutely love this piece.  It has a great meaning behind it and it looks really nice and put together well.  The value in it is very good.  This piece of art could mean different things to different people  depending on how their  mindset  is,  but overall I do believe that it shows  a girl who feels like she cant be herself and  has  to put on a show in front of  other  I  really like  the creativity of this artwork. This painting is absolutely great.
