Reanna Cassidy's Art

This is my sketch that we did in class when we learned how to start drawing faces. As you can see half is female and half is a male.

Art Critique This piece of art work is really intriguing and I feel like it has a good meaning behind it. This piece of artwork is in black and white. Its shows a girls face who appears to be pulling part of  her face to the left, as if it were a curtain, to reveal a woman in a dress that is holding onto jail bars like she is trapped. The background almost looks like her head is in the clouds. The color is this piece of artwork seems to be very dark and depressing. The artist used lots of value in this. I  believe that this piece of artwork was done with either charcoal or a pencil, but I am not sure because I could not find the artist or the  title of this  piece. The girl inside of her head has a beautiful dress on, it is very detailed with all the ruffles and curves in  the dress. This shows that the artist took time with all the  details. This painting has a very significant meaning to it. I feel that it is of a girl who feels like she is a prisoner inside of  her own
